STATION BRIEFING
ATHLETE SUPPORT
Welcome to the frontline of HYROX!
As the first point of contact for athletes, you play a vital role in setting the tone for their race day experience.
Your mission?
Keep check-in smooth, efficient, and welcoming. If you’ve got customer service experience, even better!
What You’ll Do:
✅ Scan athlete QR codes for a quick, hassle-free check-in.
✅ Hand out timing chips, wristbands, and (write) race numbers – accuracy is key!
✅ Answer registration questions and provide essential race info with confidence.
At the start of your shift, the HYROX Registration Manager will give you a full briefing, so you’ll be fully prepped to tackle the day like a pro.
What We’re Looking For:
🔍 Attention to Detail – Accuracy is everything at check-in.
😊 Friendly & Positive Vibes – Make every racer feel welcome and ready to bring their best!
⚡ Calm Under Pressure – This is a fast-paced environment; quick thinking is a must.
Your energy and efficiency shape every athlete’s first impression – help them start strong!
As part of the HYROX Spectator Check-In team, you’re the first friendly face our guests see!
Your role is all about creating a smooth and hassle-free experience, making sure every spectator is relaxed and ready to cheer on the athletes.
What You’ll Do:
👕 Wear the official Yellow HYROX Spectator Tee – this makes you easily recognisable to spectators.
📲 Scan QR Codes – use one of the HYROX iPhones to check in spectators with ease.
🎟️ Hand Out Wristbands – place the correct colour wrist band on their wrist and tighten it gently (see wristband colour guide below):
SATURDAY SPECTATOR WRISTBANDS
TBC
SUNDAY SPECTATOR WRISTBANDS
TBC
Before your shift starts, the Registration Manager will give you a quick rundown on iPhone usage, wristband allocation, where to stand and other useful information.
Important Notes:
🔹 Wristbands = Entry – Every spectator needs one to access the race halls. Unless we’re sold out, tickets can be purchased on Race Day (there will be a QR code that people can scan).
👶👴 Kids Under 12 & Seniors 65+ Enter Free – but they still need a wristband! Use your judgement – no need to ID them unless you’re not sure!
Your job keeps the energy high and the entry process seamless – so smile, stay sharp, and get ready to welcome the HYROX crowd!
The HYROX Bag Drop may not sound like a fun assignment but, it is a crucial touchpoint for racers and you get to interact with all of them. This is where they trust you to keep their gear safe while they focus on their race.
Your job?
Keep things efficient, organised, and hassle-free so racers can stay stress-free and race-ready!
What You’ll Do:
🎒 Sort Bags by Race Time – Place each bag on the correct table based on the athlete’s start time (it’s written on their arm).
📦 Keep It Organized – A tidy setup means faster drop-off and retrieval.
❓ Answer Questions – Help athletes understand the bag drop process.
⚡ Work Fast – Speed and efficiency = happy, focused athletes.
How It Works:
🕒 Tables Are Labeled by Race Start Time – example: 00:00, 10:00, 20:00…
✍️ Athletes Write Their Race Number On Both Sides Of The Tag – They must attach the provided tag securely at the top of their bag before handing over their bag.
📍 Bags Stay in Their Section – This makes post-race pickup quick and easy.
Why This Matters:
A seamless bag drop means less stress, shorter lines, and a smoother race day for everyone. When athletes feel organised, they perform better – so let’s keep things fast, friendly, and efficient!
Note: Racers are NOT to enter the bag storage area and help themselves!
